| Why is there so much suffering? |

The months following my
un-carried-out suicide plan,
I banned this thought from my mind.
I didn't want anything to do with God.
I convinced myself that I had reason
to doubt the existence of God.
Why else had there been so much
misery in my life? Why else were there
so many wars on earth?
Why were people so selfish and frigid?
If God really existed,
wouldn't that be different...?
