Get a pure heart!

For years, God has been opening my eyes to a reality
that is of much greater importance than we often realize.
God is showing me that the human heart really is
the most unreliable thing that exists. A Christian that seems
so perfect on the outside, can have a heart filled with pride,
dishonesty, jealousy and other things.
The human heart is
the biggest hindrance to living as God’s children.

God wants to cleanse us of the impurities of our hearts!
God wants us to be pure in every aspect of our lives.
He is holy and He wants us all to be holy.
Sin tries to take control over our hearts, in every possible way.
There are so many opportunities in the world to do evil.
If we don't realize that, evil can take control over our hearts.

What do we do to stop that?

Know that God forgives us.
Know that He wants to refine us.
Know that God has better things for us.

God says in the Bible that He wants to give us a clear conscience,
a pure heart, a pure mind, in Jesus Christ.
He has it all for you. God can clean you totally!

God doesn't turn you away, because you have failed
to be honest and pure. God never turns you away.
He wants your salvation. He loves you. He cares for you.
So much that He sent His own Son to die on the cross of torture...

...for YOU!

That's how God sees you. So don't let the knowledge
of the sins of your heart keep you away from God.

God wants to cleanse you.

How can God keep you pure?

The only thing we can do, to live a pure life, is to make it
a daily prayer. That's a choice that you have to make yourself.
'Father, I open my heart to you. Refine me again today
and cleanse me of every possible darkness'.

In the Bible, God speaks about the necessity
of opening our hearts up to Him and asking Him to purify us.
This can hurt. It can hurt a lot. But it is good. It is beautiful.
It makes you FREE and truly happy!

When God deeply refines you, it can come with terrible pain.
But it eventually causes great happiness.
I can no longer live with an impure heart.
The joy of a pure heart is too good. Too important.
You get addicted to holiness. You know that sin pollutes your heart
and that you lose the beauty of having a clear conscience.

I'm still not perfect. In ten years, I won’t be perfect.
But my heart is being cleaned. My heart is being made pure
through the fire of God’s Spirit.

Allow God to cleanse your heart. Ask Him.
Allow Him to show you all things that you are not aware of.
And be prepared to die. Be prepared to take a fall.
Be prepared to bow down before the pure, Almighty God.

Let Him cleanse you.
He loves you. He wants to SET YOU FREE.
He wants to rescue you.
God wants to give you a new heart. A pure heart.
But He needs your help. Ask Him.
Don't be afraid. Accept the cleansing.
The fire can burn fiercely. But God does it out of love.

Ask Him.

What GOD says...
The joy of having One who has died for all of us!

The blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself unblemished to God,
cleanses our consciences from acts that lead to death,
so that we may serve the living God!.
(Hebrews 9:14)

A sober and very honest passage that tells us
why every day, we have to ask God to refine our hearts:

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure.
Who can understand it?
(Jeremiah 17:9)

The only solution is that we receive a new heart.
A heart that does not differ from God’s.
That is Gods greatest wish: to let His own SPIRIT
take control over you, every day of your life.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean;
I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you your heart of stone
and give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put my Spirit in you
and move you to follow my decrees
and be careful to keep my laws.
(Ezekiel 36:25)

In one of David’s beautiful psalms, he speaks about the pain
that refinement brings, but also about the greater joy that follows.

For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.
You let men ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.

I will come to your temple and fulfill my vows to you-
vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.

Come and listen, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.
If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;
but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
(Psalm 66)
