This email is a follow up on our former LifeLetter in which we
expose the strong demonic influences in the Chronicles of Narnia.
In this second article I answer some honest questions
people have asked me about this. (If you have not read

Many confirmations

Since we launched our article about The Chronicles of Narnia,
we have been overwhelmed by hundreds of emails.
Many people said they felt the same things, but found it hard
to explain this to others, who were so happy with Narnia.

The principal of a Christian school thanked me from
the bottom of his heart. He called it an answer to his prayer.
He so strongly felt this movie was loaded with the demonic,
but had to convince most teachers in his school,
who didn't see the danger.

Most Christians who felt a red light flashing in their hearts,
caused by the Holy Spirit, found it very hard to stand up
against the tremendous enthusiasm in the Church towards Narnia.
Many even encountered anger and accusations
from other Christians, the moment they spoke up against
the witchcraft and sorcery in Narnia.

It seems that not every Christian
wants to hear what the Bible really says
about the occult.
What is very interesting, is that many people
who have been active in the occult, before they
became Christians, testify that they felt a strongly occult effect
in the movie. I amazes them that most Christians,
and even most leaders, seem to lack that spiritual discernment.

I will give one example: a woman wrote me,
that she used to be involved with the occult.
As a result she had been under demonic oppression.
After giving her life to Jesus Christ completely,
she received prayer and was set free from these demons.
Now she was encouraged by Christians to read
The Chronicles of Narnia.

Immediately after doing this, she began to feel
the same demonic attacks again
she used to have, before she was set free...
She was shocked. Then she read our article and realized:
'I have opened the door to the demonic again,
by reading the Chronicles of Narnia, which are filled
with demonic creatures, withcraft, sorcery and pagan idols.'

I also received many emails from mothers who saw
the destructive effects of Narnia on their children.
One mother wrote me that her son started
to have nightmares after reading the Chonicles of Narnia
in his Christian school!

She began to investigate the true content of the books
and was litterally shocked to find that they are jammed
with the occult, from beginning to end.

She discovered that the Chronicles of Narnia
encourage children to interact with pagan idols,
befriend with all kinds of spirits,
practice sorcery and participate in occult rituals.
She tried to talk about this with the head of the Christian school,
but got only negative reactions. Most Christians didn't even
want to listen to what she tried to explain...
'The books are written by C.S. Lewis, so they are fine'
is the basic argument she got.

Another mother told me that her six year old daughter
began to throw up, while watching Narnia. Her child ran out
of the movietheater, filled with fear and horror.

Yet another mother told me that her son started to have
fears and nightmares after receiving a toyflute from Narnia,
in a restaurant. The flute was a small version of the magic
panflute from 'Tumnus', who is a main character in Narnia.
Few know that Tumnus is a litteral representation
of the pagan idol PAN
, who is a ruling demon
and the 'god' of fear, perversion and false prophecy.
In Narnia he is a good friend of the children!

I believe the Lord, who is a loving Father, deeply grieves
about the tremendous demonic attacks that are being launched
upon His children, while His shepherds (the pastors and parents),
dance for joy, because they so like Narnia.
It is so beautiful, so fascinating, so entertaining, so spiritual...

But they completely ignore the Biblical command
not to touch anything that is linked
to the realm of the demonic...
The reason I write about this, is because I believe someone
needs to stand up and say: let's obey the Word of God,
stop compromising and reject every influence from
the demonic realm. Even if it has the lable 'Christian'.

In order to help you understand how serious our warning
against Narnia is, I have tried to answer some questions
I received.

Enjoy the article!

Why is Narnia so dangerous?

One of the dangers is that people learn to get used to
the occult more and more. They lose their caution towards
the demonic world.
They start to think that idols
out of Greek and Roman mythology are friends,
like they see in Narnia. That dwarfs, giants, fauns, nymphs,
unicorns, forest-spirits, who are in fact demonic realities,
are actually good-natured. Because they are the inhabitants
of the enchanted land Narnia, where Aslan is king.

Not only the white witch, which is an evil-natured character
in the film uses sorcery. The children themselves use it too
and the inhabitants of Narnia use magic frequently.

Narnia gives you the impression
that magic itself is not wrong
as long as it's used for the right purpose.

After reading the seven books of Narnia I caught myself
in getting more open towards other movies in which sorcery
is being used. God showed me to open my eyes for
the subtle dangers of Christian reading matter that is
immersed in the world of magic and mythology.

It's drinking from an unclean well, which causes
spiritual pollution.

Is there really sorcery in Narnia?

On the cover of the English books it says:
“The most enchanting fantasy novels ever written”.
That answers the question ;-)

The children use magic spells, magic weapons and magic powers
to fight. In a certain situation a child, Lucy, calls forth
the presence of Aslan, using a spell from the book of a sorcerer.

The message that is given to the reader, is:
'It is good to use magic spells, if the cause is noble!'
Children who read this, can then go to a bookshop,
find al kinds of books about wicca and witchcraft,
that offer different spells, and start practicing it.
The bizar thing is that they have been encouraged to do this,
through reading a 'Chistian' novel, by a famous Christian author...

At this time almost the entire Christian world,
even some of the largest ministries, promote books
that litteraly encourage children to practice witchcraft...
Pretty weird, isn't it?

It's a sure sign of the times we are living in. In our days
sorcery is something that comes up very strongly.
The bookshops are crammed with it. In department stores
books on witchcraft and sorcery are piled up.
Children are literally overrun with it.

It's Satan's strategy to prepare youngsters
to live in a stream of demonic powers,
that characterize the end-times.

Jesus Christ and the apostles clearly warned us against it
two thousand years ago. We're heading a time where
strong spiritual powers will be present, with the purpose
of leading the people away from the real Jesus and the real God.

“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up
and perform great miraculous signs and wonders as so
to deceive if possible, even God's chosen ones.”
(The gospel of Matthew 24:24)

“This evil man will come to do the work of Satan with
counterfeit powers and signs and miracles.”
(2 Thessalonians. 2:9)

Satan will especially seduce the Christians.
He wants to weaken our power, by contaminating us
with other spiritual influences.

The tendency in the media is to become more and more tolerant
and less radical. To take yourself as a standard, your opinion
and your emotions. But Christians are called to release a sound
that's sharper than the sharpest knife. Because this is what
the Bible brings about:

“For the word of God is full of living power.
It is sharper than the sharpest knife,
cutting deep into our innermost thoughts
and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.”
(Hebrews. 4:12)

However few people want that. They fear to be critisized.
Many are afraid to show one's colours, in fear of resistance.
I believe that God wants to change us all, to swim
against the tide of this world and say:
it's not about spirits and wonders, but about God
who became man in Jesus Christ. It's not about
your own spiritual power, it's about repenting of your pride
and unwillingness to do God's will.

It's about realizing how wicked your heart really is.
Then you will get to the place of real repentance.

Then you get to the point where you really start
to acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Master.
And because of that God can become your Father
and Friend. But without a deep conviction of sin
in your heart, without realizing how selfish, stubborn
and proud you really are, without realizing you're not doing
God's will, and without really regretting that, you'll never
become God's child.

The tendency is to bring a Christian standard that is sweet,
without any real confrontation. And therefore without
real repentance. It's just a 'Christian' religion that's being brought
without the confrontation of light and darkness. Even worse:
in many Christian circles (where there should be light), they
get rid of the truth and they open their gates widely for darkness, humanism, New Age, earthly wisdom (human intellect) etc.
And they allow those things to come in.

It's something that really arouses God's anger.
God demands PURITY, and He hates it when His people mix
with the powers of this world.

Doesn't Narnia preach the gospel?

Some believe that the movie Narnia was made to tell
the world about Jesus Christ. That really isn't the case!
The purpose of Narnia has nothing to do with telling
people about Jesus, otherwise His Name would have
been mentioned somewhere in the movie or books.

It is a DISNEY-production, people!
And Disney produces more and more
occult movies that are peppered with New Age.

The Bear, The Lion King, Pocahontas are just a few examples.
These are all movies in which you can find a good message,
but which also lead the viewer into the realm of calling forth
the dead, ancestral worship, sorcery, etc.

It looks innocent, but Satan is a master in making things
appear to be innocent and sweet, but putting a rope around
your neck at the same time. Please don't underestimate it!

You have no idea what takes place behind the scenes...
Satan is a liar, who knows how to deceive people.

Is this not just your personal opinion?

You have to realize that at first I wanted to see the movie,
because I saw a chance in it to carry out the gospel.
In my heart there is a passion to make Christian movies,
that will bring millions of people to their knees
for God in the cinema. Initially I hoped Narnia would be
something like that too.

To my great surprise I experienced
that God showed me something different
about this movie.
Like I said before: I read all seven books twice,
so I know exactly what they are like. They're books
that are really full of occult elements. Until recently
I ignored it, because I didn't fully realize the danger of it.
But now God's Spirit has started talking to me about it.

He doesn't want Christians to get involved with these
kind of spiritual powers. We are called to be separated
from everything that's not from God Himself.
The Bible says with great severity that
God demands us to be holy.

"Seek to live a clean and holy life,
for those who are not holy will not
see the Lord."
(Hebrews 12:14).

What does the word holy mean?
It isn't about not making mistakes. It literally means:
to be separated/set apart. To have nothing to do with
anything unclean. That concerns both the spiritual
and the natural.

Holiness is not an option. It's an absolute demand
from God to us, His children.
He exclaims in the Bible:

"BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY!"
(1 Peter 1:16)

In our church God estimated this call the last year.
I thought I was quite holy for God. But still I watched
movies that had many ungodly, unclean elements in it
and I read comics and books that were not pure.
Some contained flirting, dirty jokes, occult characters,
unnecessary violence, infidelity, references to spirits, etc.

God wants us to stop doing that.
He wants us to be pure!

What many movies do (including Narnia)
is actually contaminating Christians with influences
from the world of magic and sorcery. That can't be denied.

That's literally at odds with God's appeal in the Bible:

"And what union can there be between
God's temple and idols? (...)
Therefore, come out from them
and separate yourselves from them,
says the Lord.
Don't touch their filthy things,
And I will welcome you.
And I will be your Father,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty."
(2 Corinthians 6:16-18)

Therefore what I say is not David Sorensen's opinion.
I pass on what I believe God's Spirit is clearly exclaiming
in these days, and what is affirmed abundantly
in the Bible from beginning to end..

Don't get involved with any influence that is occult.
Stay far from anything that comes from demonic
idolatry. You can be contaminated by it.

Don't underestimate the danger of the occult world!
It will defile your spiritual life in a serious way.

But C. S. Lewis was such a good Christian!

Being a famous Christian is no guarantuee of purity.
Throughout history there are countless examples of people
who served Jesus Christ, but also drank from other wells.
They became unpure vessels, in the end, even if
at certain times they were powerful instruments of the Lord.

In the Bible you see the shocking example of
the apostle Peter, who gets some amazing insight
from his heavenly Father at one point. Full of passion
he says, completely swimming against the tide of the world:

“Jesus, You are the Son of God, the Messiah."

All of a sudden he realised that God came down
on earth in human form. Jesus praised him for that:
"My Father in heaven has revealed this to you.
You did not learn this from any human being."
(Matthew 16:17)
Peter was clearly inspired by God, and very powerfully!

Shortly after that Jesus spoke of His coming death
as a sacrifice for the human race. He tells us the way
He's going to suffer and that he will have to lay down His life.
Peter jumps to His feet and says:

"No Lord, that will NEVER happen".

Jesus' reaction is shocking.
He turns to Peter and says:

“Get away from me, Satan!
You are a dangerous trap for me;
You are seeing things merely from
a human point of view, and not from God's.”
(Matthew 16:23)

Do you see what happened there? One moment Peter
was a vessel of God and the other moment a
vessel of Satan. This was possible because in the second example
he was thinking in a human way. He was still seeing things
from a human point of view and had not really come to the place yet
of surrendering Himself completely to God's will.

Human's will is the way of quick success. But Jesus chose
His Father's way, which was: letting go of everything,
dying and trusting in the Father who would
revive Him from the dead.

If we don't fully repent of our own ego, of our own little will,
of choosing our own way over God's way, if we don't
get to the place of a deep surrendering to the Father
in Heaven, no matter what His will for us might be,
then Satan will be able to work through us. That's a reality.
After all, the human road to blessing is diabolic.

Any form of human wisdom is demonic in nature too.
This is how strictly the Bible states it:

"Such 'wisdom' does not come down from heaven,
but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil."
(James 3:15)

Being a Christian is no guarantee for purity.
The only guarantee for purity is God Himself.
Therefore make sure you instantly choose to drink
from God's well only, where you can find water
that really gives you life. Water that heals and delivers.
Water that cleanses. Water from the Bible and the Holy Spirit.

Please do it! It will bring forth so much more blessing and life!
And God wants us to be blessed.

But Narnia has such good messages!

The fact that something contains very good messages
is no sign that the entire thing is good. A beautiful red apple
can also contain a poisoneous core, if it has been injected
by invisbile poison.

You have to realize that most false doctrines are based
on the truth. Many teachers of false doctrine make use of
good insights. Wizzards and witches, New Age gurus
and even downright satanists will sometimes say things
that are very right, and from which you, as a Christian,
can learn a lot. Satan is not a fool, you know!

How do you tempt a little mouse to walk into a trap?
Not by piling up some nails, do you? That will of course
never appeal to a mouse! It's by putting a nicely smelling piece
of cheese in it. Something a mouse likes very much. Something
that's useful to his body. It strengthens him. Yummie...

That's the way Satan works as well.
Jesus calls him the father of lie.
He's a master in abusing and deforming the truth.

He knows the gospel better than you and I do and he's able
to recite all bible verses to you you'd like to hear.
He's not stupid, with no less than thousands of years of experience.
He captured entire kingdoms by means of lies. He got a grip on
kings and emperors by clever tricks.

He can even get Christians and Christian leaders on his side,
when they start listening to his 'wise' words.
He's not stupid. He knows more than you!

How can you stay pure then?

By keeping away from any other spiritual source
than Jesus Christ in the Bible.
And by being with Jesus a lot, through prayer.
He gives you the Spirit of Truth.

Jesus Christ said about Himself:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.
Noone can come through the Father except through Me!”
(John 14:6)

This is the basic conclusion of this article:
turn away from any spiritual source that claims
to be Christian but in fact is not.

Start reading the Bible much more and ask the Holy Spirit
to open your eyes. Stop listening to the voice of people,
but seek to hear the voice of Jesus Christ,
through the written Word of God, the Bible.

The Bible is our only sure guide through these times
where there are so many voices claiming to have 'truth'.

Read the Word of God. And ask the Lord Jesus Christ
to help you understand it.

We bless you in your desire to become a pure Child of God,
who is not defiled by the waves and winds of this dark world.
